WEYMOUTH player-manager Jason Matthews says he won’t change too much ahead of his side’s rearranged FA Cup first qualifying round tie with Paulton Rovers tonight at the Bob Lucas Stadium (7.45pm).

The two sides saw Saturday’s game abandoned after 51 minutes due to a waterlogged pitch with the game finely poised at 1-1.

Now they get set to do it all again with the prize a home tie against Vanarama National League South side Gosport Borough, who enter the competition in this round.

But, Matthews is totally focused on winning tonight’s game as his side looks to put right the mistakes that they made at the weekend.

He told Echosport: “It’s pointless to think about the next round when we haven’t got through this one.

“We’ll take it game by game and see where that takes is.

“We were spot-on on Saturday, and we took our foot off the gas for five minutes and we got punished.

“That is something we have to eradicate if we are to move forward.”

The small break has allowed the Terras to recuperate and Matthews insisted there won’t be many changes to the side.

He added: “We’re starting to get our squad fully fit.

The break has given Dean Evans and Chris Shephard another couple of days to get fit so they will have fitness tests.

“We need to approach it right and take the game to Paulton Rovers.”

Ticket prices have been reduced for the midweek game with adults now paying £8, concessions £5 and children’s tickets priced at £2.
