Mark Travers spoke to theterras.com as he says his goodbyes to the club after returning to AFC Bournemouth
The club have signed Cherries keeper Will Dennis on loan and he will go straight into the squad to face Bishop’s Stortford on Saturday at the Bob Lucas Stadium.
theterras.com: We have had you on loan from AFC Bournemouth since the start of pre-season, sadly for us, you move back to the Premier League club. Sum up your time at the club in the short time you’ve been here.
Mark Travers: It’s been a great time. It’s my first loan in England and I really can’t thank everyone enough. The staff, the players and the fans welcomed me at the start of the season and we have been on a great run so far and we are in a great position in the league table. I hope the lads carry it on for the rest of the season and hopefully the club can get promoted! I want to thank Weymouth for this great opportunity. I have definitely made friends for life. They are a great bunch of lads here, obviously I know a few of them from AFC Bournemouth. I will try to get to as many games as I can when I’m not playing and I’ll be keeping in touch with everyone. Thank you to everyone!
Weymouth Football Club thank Mark Travers for his time with us. Who can forget that winning goal he scored at Bishop’s Stortford? We are glad that we have been part of his development and we wish Mark the very best of luck for the future and we hope that he achieves what he deserves.
