WEYMOUTH manager Mark Molesley believes his side have the right attitude and right characters to bounce back after a disappointing 4-3 loss at Farnborough last Saturday in the Evo-Stik Southern Premier South.

Molesley was speaking ahead of his side’s FA Cup first qualifying round clash at home to Banbury United on Saturday (3pm).

Molesley said: “I think we will learn a lot in defeat and we have got the right attitude and right characters to bounce back against the Puritans. The boys would have been hurting after that game and we are looking to put that right on Saturday.”

Weymouth hold a 3-1 lead at half-time before the second half saw them concede three goals, Molesley admitted it was an uncharacteristic second half, but praised his side for how they performed in the first.

Molesley said: “We are fortunate we have had two days of training on Tuesday and Thursday and we will prep and work hard as we always do and look for a quick reaction from the boys.”

“All in all, we have had a bad half an hour against Farnborough, the first half was probably the best football we have played. It was a Jekyll and Hyde performance and it was an uncharacteristic second half.

“Saturday can’t come quick enough and we are looking forward to it.”
