Terras goalkeeper Jordan Seabright said that Saturday’s match away to Swindon Supermarine last Saturday was a ‘weird’ game, one which both sides had periods where they dominated the game.
The 24-year-old, who returned to football in the summer after a period away from the game, has been ever-present for the Terras this season in league football, keeping three clean sheets already.
Speaking to the theterras.com after Weymouth’s 1-1 draw at Swindon, Seabright said ”It was a weird game, Swindon Supermarine started well and scored after 10 minutes, I think it took us a while to get going.
“There was a period in the second half where I thought we were on top but then I thought towards the end they were on top as well.”
Seabright also revealed that Mark Molesley had warned the Terras not to take anything for granted despite Swindon Supermarine’s lowly league position.
“The gaffer spoke at training on Thursday and said that Swindon’s position is false, they’ve got an experience centre forward in Stuart Fleetwood.
“I thought they were good, they were a good outfit and well organised but we’re a good team as well.”
Seabright also said that despite not being able to claim the victory it was up to the Weymouth squad to remain positive about their start to the season.
“I’m happy to have made a couple of saves but it was a team effort. At the end of the day we’ve only lost one game from ten so we’ve got to take the positives.
“Of course we want to win games, we wanted to go to Swindon and get three points but it’s about taking the positives, it’s a long season and it’s a marathon not a sprint.”
Weymouth travel to Tiverton Town this evening, a game which Seabright has described as ‘massive’.
“I think we need to remember that ourselves and the fans are all together as one,” he said. “It’s a massive game on Tuesday, they’re all big games but it’s a chance for us to kick on. We’ve got 2 games in the space of 5 days and if we can get a good amount of points from that then it will be everything to play for.”
