WEYMOUTH manager Mark Molesley spoke of his desire to ‘press the reset button’ following the 3-1 defeat to Gosport last week, as his side prepare to host Harrow Borough in the Evo-Stik Southern Premier South tomorrow (3pm).

Due to a postponement of their FA Trophy first round match against Needham Market, and the subsequent withdrawal from the competition by the Marketmen prior to the scheduled rearranged tie on Tuesday, the loss to Gosport is still the Terras’ most recent match.

Describing the postponement, Molesley said: “The situation was totally out of our control, we were disappointed, we wanted to play football. Unfortunately things were beyond our control and we could not play.

“The good thing is that we have managed to have a couple of training sessions so we can press the reset button after Gosport and get back to working on everything in training and get back to what we do best.”

Weymouth kicked off their season away against Harrow, with Brandon Goodship netting a treble in a 3-2 win.

Harrow have since had a great start to their season, and currently occupy fourth place in the table, three points behind the Terras having played a game more.

Molesley said: “I think it is the first time we’ve played a team a second time in the league so it shows that we are getting through the season now and we find ourselves in a good position and we have got to keep it going.”

Molesley praised Saturday’s opponents ahead of the match, highlighting that their subsequent form shows what a good win it was.

“It also shows what a good result that was on the first day of the season at them away from home on the first day of the season.

“We have got to be making sure we are right on it.”

The Terras were boosted by Taunton Town’s 3-1 loss at Hartley Wintney last weekend, which allows Weymouth to reclaim the top spot via games in hand.

Molesley said: “Hartley have done a big favour last week for ourselves.

“But all we can control is ourselves and how we prepare and how we play and how we train so we will make sure we will look after our own house and I’m sure if we do that well enough then we will not have to rely on anyone else.”

Barring Josh McQuoid (knee) and Warren Bentley (concussion), who are both long-term absentees, Weymouth have a clean bill of health.
