JORDAN Seabright has left the Terras and Lloyd Thomas will be the number one keeper, the club announced following their 3-3 draw at Taunton Town.

Seabright is still signed with the club, but cannot fully commit due to personal and work commitments.

Weymouth boss Mark Molesley explained: “He is still signed, it is just that his football was getting a bit too much for him at the moment with his work life and his personal life.

“We need people completely committed to the cause.

“We are trying to do something special here and you are either in or you are out and unfortunately it is a little bit too much for him.

“He is still a local lad, he is still signed, we think a lot of him I know he thinks a lot of us as well.”

Molesley also hinted that the door could still be open for the goalkeeper, saying: “Look he is still signed and could be available for us but we need someone who can really commit to this cause and commit to what we are trying to do.”

Molesley praised Thomas for stepping in against Taunton, when asked further if this means he is definitely the number one goalkeeper for Weymouth, Molesley replied: “Yes definitely, and he deserves to be on the (Taunton game’s) evidence. I thought he had a great game again coming in.

“The thing with Lloyd is that the games that he has dropped into have been probably the biggest, most pressured games for us and he has handled it really well.

“I thought he really took the pressure of the defence, with a good starting position.

“He dealt with it really well.”

Seabright, on Twitter last night, said: “Good luck to Moles and the lads for the rest of the season, really do think they can achieve something with the set up they’ve got. Working six days a week and having your day off be taken up for football I just couldn’t do, up the Terras, will always be there to help if needed.”
