Weymouth Football Club have today released admission details for the big Dr Martens Premier Division Boxing Day derby against Dorchester Town at the Wessex Stadium.

And as with the FA Cup second qualifying round clash back in September, the Terras have decided not to make the game an all-ticket affair.

Club spokesman Pete Saxby said: “Again we have resisted the temptation to make the match all-ticket, but fans are reminded that ground segregation will be in operation on the day.

“That means that Weymouth supporters will be required to use the Northern Turnstiles (Training Pitch End), while Dorchester Town fans are asked to gain entry to the stadium through the Southern Turnstiles.”

However, those wishing to avoid turnstile queues on the day, can still purchase their entry tickets in advance.

Mr Saxby explained: “A limited number of premier stand tickets are available priced £7.50 for adults and £4.50 for OAPs & juniors. Normal stand tickets are available at £6.50 adults and £4 OAPs & juniors.

“Any unsold stand tickets will then be offered on match day as transfers at £1 for adults and 50p for OAPs and juniors.”

He added: “Tickets are now available to buy from the club office at the Wessex Stadium during normal office hours of 10am to 1pm, Monday to Friday.

“Alternatively, season ticket holders can immediately apply by post and include a cheque made payable to Weymouth Football Club, along with a stamped addressed envelope.”

Ground tickets can also now be obtained priced £5.50 for adults and £3.50 for OAPs and juniors.

Meanwhile fans of both clubs are being urged to either share transport, or leave their vehicles at home all together.

“Car parking will be strictly limited”, added Mr Saxby, “so please arrive early and share transport where possible.”

The match, which takes place on Tuesday December 26, kicks off at 3pm.

ONE time Terras target Jason Rees has today signed for Torquay United from Dr Martens Western League outfit Tiverton Town.

The Welsh international midfielder, who has made more than 200 League appearances for Luton, Portsmouth, Cambridge United and Exeter, joins the Gulls on a match to match basis.

Rees, 30, came close to linking up with former team mates Darran Rowbotham and Danny Potter at the Wessex Stadium, earlier in the season.

MORNING Light have been crowned 2000 Weymouth FC Sports Quiz Knockout Cup winners.

The victors scored an impressive 52 points in the final held at the Wessex Lounge, which put them ahead of Weymouth CC (44), Registry (41) and Toblerones (33).

The new league campaign gets underway on Thursday January 11 with a Division One fixture between Weymouth CC, Formula One and Redlands CC.
