WEYMOUTH Reserves boss Dave Kiteley is hoping to have at least one first team player available for his side’s Wessex Combination League trip to Bemerton Heath Harlequins tomorrow, kick-off 3pm.

The likely candidate for the table toppers is winger Kevin Parker who missed the Terras Boxing Day win over Tiverton Town through injury.

Kiteley explained: “Kevin suffered concussion after banging his head in an accident at work and it may be that he’s ready to make a comeback with us up at Bemerton. But the final decision is obviously down to Andy Mason and so I’ll just have to wait and see what he says.”

The Terras second string will be looking to stretch their current unbeaten run to 22-matches, although their boss has warned his charges against complacency.

“We don’t play again after this one until January 12,” explained Kiteley, “and so it’s crucial that we get a result up there to keep us in the championship chase. But just because we’ve not lost since September doesn’t mean we can take anything for granted.

“Bemerton were a strong outfit when we met them in midweek earlier in the season and I expect them to be equally tough opponents this time around.”

Kiteley, who was left fuming after a Christmas function the night before resulted in Hamble being unable to raise a side to travel to the Wessex Stadium last Saturday, is without holidaying youngsters Aaron Bastafield and Paul Lambert.

Terras: Gadsby, Wisden, Graham, M Walker, S Critchell, Bews, Lamb, Sajic, Nicholson, Mutch, Dolbear, Aldous, K Critchell, N Walker.
