Final score was 1-0, our goal scorer was Spence with a header from a corner – after 25 minutes.

Weymouth used 17 players, the only new face being the returning Funnell.
The manager had hoped to have another new face, but it appears that this player has gone to a Wessex League side for more money than we could offer.
He has also – in his own words – made a number of phone calls to reasonably local players and is awaiting further developments.
As for tonight a rather officious ref. did not help the game flow, but – in truth – it was a stuttering performance. Chances were made, but we hardly tested the home keeper. Poole only tested us once, in the second half, when Bagnel (on for Matthews) pulled out a good stop.
Still we did grind out a win and – I hope – the manager is still taking these games in context – which is to look at options and see what is needed for us to move forward.
Weymouth: Matthews (Bagnel), Kenway, Browne S. (Bews), Browne A., Bradford (Bastafield), Dean (Harbut), Robinson (Tilley), Rawlinson (Hutchinson), Spence, Laws and Funnell.
