David Laws tonight was sold to Jewson Wessex League side, Eastleigh, for an undisclosed fee.

Chairman, Mr. Bennett, and vice -chairman, Mr. Higson, met with David Laws this evening and wished him the best of luck and thanked him for his loyal service to Weymouth Football Club.

Chairman, Mr. Bennett, said that David was under no pressure to leave and he had not been looking to sell him, but, with the package that David was offered, he had decided to seek pastures new.

The club has confirmed that the facilities at the Wessex Stadium will still be available for David’s Testimonial year.

Tonight, Weymouth signed 6’2″ striker Christopher Giles from Conference side, Yeovil Town, for an undisclosed loan period.
