Weymouth manager Geoff Butler has been awarded a contract that will take him to the end of next season. This is the first manager Weymouth have signed on contract since Bill Caldwell in the early 1990’s.

Geoff Butler spoke of his delight on receiving the news stating that this was the first contract he’d had as a manger for 20 years. He went on to say “I did not appreciate what a hornet’s nest I was walking into when I first took on the job, but it has been a challenge for Ricky Haysom (his assistant) and myself and we are really enjoying it. The board have been extremely supportive along with the players and fans.”
