YOU could still make a difference in the Terras’ quest for promotion this term, as entries for this season’s Wessex Fantasy Football are still being taken.

Organised by Terras’ fan Ian White, the game, which boosts the Weymouth player budget, runs on a monthly basis, so prizes are still available for new players.

Each month costs £10 to play and the prize fund you can win depends on how many players are involved in the game.

You can also make straight donations to the club’s playing budget through the competition without playing the game itself.

Last season, the game raised enough funds to bring player-coach Chris McPhee back to the Bob Lucas Stadium on a permanent basis.

And with Terras’ boss Jason Matthews hinting that he is currently exploring the possibility of bringing in a striker to boost the club’s firepower, now seems like a perfect time to get involved.

White told Echosport: “We had a big donation for him (Matthews) to try and get a striker in loan. We managed to get about £2,100 in about 24 hours.

“We do need some more though, so if anyone fancies giving the game a go, or just donating, it would be great.

“The December game is playing now but there are still four more games to play. So far this season, out of the four months we have played, three of the month’s winnings have been donated straight back.

“If we get to January and people start to see that we really have a chance this year I am hoping people might start doing it again.”

White is still striving for more people to sign up and play the game, and you can do so online by logging on and making your selections at wessexfantasy.co.uk n For further information email iwfantasyfootball@btinternet.com
