JASON Matthews feels the victory over Poole Town can bring his squad together and generate a positive result at Kings Langley tomorrow (3pm).
The Terras handily beat their Dorset rivals in the FA Trophy in midweek and, now, the player-manager wants his side to take that momentum into the league.
He told Echopsort: “The cup has galvanised the squad.
“The boys have come through that with flying colours but, it’s not time to rest on our laurels.
“We have to go for it at Kings Langley and get some wins under our belts.
“We will go there and give the extra five per cent that we showed against Poole.”
“The next two games are crucial against Kings Langley and Kings Lynn.
Asked if they were must-wins, with Weymouth 17 points off the play-offs but with numerous games in hand, Matthews replied: “You would say that. We need to start climbing the table and we have five or six games in hand on the top teams and we have to win four of them.”
Charlie Davis and Mark Cooper both return from suspension tomorrow with the fixture coming too soon for Sam Jordan.
Ashley Wells and Stephane Zubar will be monitored and the player-manager rated himself 50/50 for the game after suffering an injury against the Dolphins.
