STRIKER Stuart Fleetwood admitted he was “open to any options” when asked about where his future lies next season.

The much-travelled frontman, who has a list of illustrious clubs on his CV throughout his career in the Football League and non-League, has been in fine form scoring 14 goals for the Terras since his loan switch from Bath City.

Quizzed on whether Weymouth was an option for him next season, Fleetwood told Echosport: “I have always said I am open to any options.

“People sort of laugh and joke and say I have had more clubs than Tiger (Woods), but I think that shows I’m prepared to travel and I’m prepared to go and play football and I will drop down a league if I have to.

“If it’s an option, it’s an option. We will speak at the end of the season and I will take it from there.

“I am not obviously going to say yes or no but it’s a case of whatever happens. I am liking my football here and I think that’s 14 goals I have got now for Weymouth.

“I’ll just keep plugging away and see what happens.”

He added: “People are playing for futures now, whether it be at this club or elsewhere. There’s a shop window for some people and younger players, as well as personal pride.

“As an older player I try and go out there and work as hard as possible. Coming to my age now I don’t know how long I’ve got left, so I will try and go out there and score as many goals as I can.”

Fleetwood, a former Wales under-21 international, is set to be part of the Weymouth squad to take on Merthyr Town away from home on Saturday (3pm).

Jake Wannell is out with a hamstring injury and Charlie Davis, who was stretchered off last weekend, is unlikely to feature.

Jordan Copp is also out, as he serves the first of a two-game ban.
