BOSS Jason Matthews is looking for his Terras’ troops to provide him with a late birthday present of three points, when they make the trip to Hayes & Yeading United tonight (7.45pm).

The Weymouth player-boss, who turned 42 yesterday, should also have a few extra options from the bench to choose from this evening, with a trio of players that could return to the squad.

Sean Stewart is available for selection for the Terras and player-coach Mark Molesley is set to come back into the fold after attending a coaching course during the club’s 2-2 draw with Merthyr on Saturday.
Matthews is also hoping that Tiago Sa can make his return from a back strain against a United outfit who currently sit in the relegation zone in the Evo-Stik Southern Premier Division.

Speaking ahead of the encounter, the Terras’ boss said: “Obviously I know it will be a tricky surface and Hayes are scrapping for points now.

“I felt that they were quite good against us at home but we will go into the game with a little bit of confidence after a great team performance on Saturday.”

He added: “People say there is nothing to play for but there is.

“I want us to try and go out to win every game of football, whether that is possible, who knows?

“We are all fighting because we know we have underachieved this season.”

Jordan Copp remains suspended for the Terras and Jake Wannell and Chris Shephard are still out through injury.
