Josh Barton of theterras.com caught up with Harry Baker to discuss his future with the Terras.

Josh Barton: Last season you scored 30 goals in 42 appearances. That is some record. Do you feel as though you can reproduce that sort of form for Weymouth?

Harry Baker: Having a two league step up is going to make it hard to recreate that kind of form so I’m going to take each game as it comes.

JB: Many Terras fans have noticed your work rate and your constant running off the ball. Is this a key part of your game?

HB: Yes. I’d like to say I work hard for team and give everything when I put the shirt on!

JB: How have you found pre-season so far? Have you been impressed with the manager and his staff and what they are putting together?

HB: Yes. It is a lot different to the pre-seasons I have been used to. It is very professional and a lot a thought goes into the sessions. It is the first pre-season I’ve really enjoyed!

JB: Which team do you support and why?

HB: I’m a massive Liverpool fan along with my brother and uncle. I like to get up to Anfield three or four times a season!

JB: Was it a no brainer when the club offered you a deal to sign?

HB: I have always said to my parents that I’m happy playing in the Toolstation league, but if Weymouth ever came calling, I’d jump at the chance. Thankfully, they did.

JB: Love Island or Match of the Day?

HB: Sorry but I am going to have to say Love Island. It is the only programme my girlfriend gets and understands! 😂 Even my nan watches it!

JB: Do you have any specific targets for the coming campaign?

HB: I have one target and that is to keep in and around the squad throughout the whole season and impress everyone when I’m on the pitch!
