Callum Buckley has impressed for the Terras so far this season. He caught up with Josh of theterras.com to discuss the start to the campaign.

Josh Barton: Callum your performances have impressed so far. How would you rate your personal start to the season here at Weymouth?

Callum Buckley: I’ve really enjoyed the start of the season, it’s been a tough start with the games we’ve had but we’ve done well as a team and on a personal note, I feel happy with my performances but I still feel there is a lot more to come from me!

JB: What has been your most enjoyable game to date?

CB:  I think it has to be the Chippenham game for me. We had to show different sides to our game and we passed all the tests thrown at us. The feeling in the changing room after was brilliant.

JB: What is your preferred position?

CB: I like left back. It’s a role I feel very comfortable in but I don’t mind playing in other positions. For me, it’s just about playing games and getting experience in different positions which will only improve me.

JB: We beat higher league opposition in the last round of the FA Cup. We have been given an away match at Chelmsford City in the next round. How pleased were you to get through to this stage and what do you make of the draw?

CB: The changing room was buzzing and we know we have the ability in the changing room to cause upsets in the cup. Whoever we got in the next round, we will be going into with confidence. The draw is tough for us with Chelmsford being a good side in the National South but I’m looking forward to going there and putting our game on them.

JB: Who has got the best tunes in the dressing room? Who has the worst?

CB: I’ve only really heard Jakes tunes before a game and to be fair he has a few decent mixes in his locker. I’m going to come for the analyst Danny Webb here! I drive in with him and he tries so hard with his playlists but there are some absolute shockers on it!

JB: The best and worst dressed player at the club?

CB: That’s a tough one because I haven’t really seen many of the boys without Weymouth stuff on but occasionally Josh Wakefield comes straight from work in his suit so I’ll have to say him for best dressed.

JB: Longest in the shower?

CB: The only one I can think of is Jordan Rose, when he was here. I think his hair took a lot of work to sort out so for that reason him.

JB: Do you have any overall goals for this season? Whether that be personal goals or as a team.

CB: I’m looking to take each game as they come. I’m enjoying my time here and I want to keep playing games and improving, we have a very good group of lads here so I’m excited to see where we will be at the end of the season.
