Slough Town test for Weymouth

WEYMOUTH manager Mark Molesley is taking each match as it comes ahead of his side’s encounter with high-flying Slough Town at Holloways Park tomorrow in the Evo-Stik Southern Premier Division (3pm).

The Terras, who moved up to second in the table on Tuesday following the 2-0 victory against Tiverton Town, are three points and two places ahead of the Rebels having played four games more.

Molesley said: “We’ll take each game as it comes and see where it takes us.

“We’re never too high, never too low. We know we have got quality in our dressing room.

Leading goalscorer Brandon Goodship and defender Calvin Brooks will miss the game due to injury.

The Rebels have had an impressive start to the season taking 34 points from 14 matches, having won 11 games, lost twice and drawing once.

Molesley acknowledged their form saying: “They’ve done fantastically well this season. Everyone is waxing lyrical about them and rightly so.

“The job that the management have done down there is fantastic with the cup runs they’re on.”

Looking ahead Molesley said: “They’re an exciting team. Hopefully we will go there and give them a good game.”

The Terras go into the match in form with two good home wins in three days against Tiverton Town and Kings Langley under their belt and are back on form having recovered from two league defeats.

Molesley said: “I think it was important to react quickly and we did. I’m delighted with the reaction from the boys.”

The games have seen the new signings bed in well, with Abdulai Baggie linking up well with Ben Thomson and Harry Baker against Tiverton Town, while Charlie Seaman got the second goal against Kings Langley.

Molesley isn’t getting carried away with being second in the table, pointing out the games in hand that the other teams around them have.

Molesley said: “I think second place is probably a little bit false.”
