Mark Molesley enjoys Havant & Waterlooville link

WEYMOUTH manager Mark Molesley is enjoying the fruit from a good relationship with Havant & Waterlooville as James Hayter becomes the third signing to come from them this season.

Hayter has followed in the footsteps of Jordan Rose and Matt Tubbs in joining the Terras for a month from the National League South side.

Molesley said: “We’re bearing the fruit from a good relationship with them and I think it’s all about using your contacts and I certainly think I’ve done that with Havant.

“They’re coming here for match fitness and match sharpness and I believe that the way we play and the way we do things and the way we look after them means they go back in better shape to Havant so hopefully it’s a win-win for both parties.”

Defender Jordan Rose joined the club in mid-August and scored four goals in his six game stint at the Bob Lucas Stadium whereas Matt Tubbs joined for one month in October.

The connection comes as Molesley knows Havant boss Lee Bradbury from their time together at Bournemouth.

Despite the difficult 3-0 defeat away to Slough Town Molesley praised the latest Havant recruit, who came on at half time, as he said: “He made a difference when he came on. I’m sure after today’s 45 minutes he’s that little bit sharper.

“I think it’s been a great signing for the club.”
