ABDULAI Baggie has enjoyed his time at Weymouth so far and is hoping ‘long may it continue’.

He signed for the club prior to a 4-1 defeat at Hereford in the first qualifying round of the FA Trophy and has since gone on to score three goals for Weymouth, with the most recent coming in the 6-0 thrashing of Farnborough on January 27.

Baggie: “It has been good, I have thoroughly enjoyed it so far, long may it continue.

“I am obviously taking it one game at a time and we are winning games, which massively helps but also obviously the team is doing very well.”

When asked about his own performances, Baggie said: “It has been okay at times, I have fitted in quite well in the squad, the boys have been welcoming so far so I will try and improve each game, take it game by game and try and help the team out as much as possible.

“There is a lot more to come from me which I am looking forward to and the aim is to hopefully try and get promoted at the end of the season.

“If we keep doing what we are doing at the minute and not think about what is going on around us and not feeling pressure, which I think as a group we are not, and keep working hard for each other, then I do not see why not, something will tell at the end of the season.”

Speaking about the Terras’ performances as a team, Baggie said: “The way we have been playing has been pleasing and has been very good so it is just trying to be, as a group, consistent in terms of our performances and also individual battles as well.

“But I think now we are at the stage of the season where I think it is all to do with points and how many you can get.”

When asked what Weymouth are aiming for this season, Baggie said: “I do not think you can look too far ahead.

“So far we have got what we are aiming for with the team which is to try and get promoted but there are still twists and turns before the end of the season and anything could happen.

“There are still points up for grabs and points to be lost so it is taking it game by game.

“We have got a tough run in coming up with so we will take that as it comes and then after those games see where we are at.”

Baggie will next have a chance to appear on Saturday against the side who he made his Weymouth debut against when the Terras travel to Hereford (3pm).
