Weymouth boss hails starlets

WEYMOUTH manager Mark Molesley was full of praise for Terras’ youngster Bailey Rowe after he faced his side when he played for the British Virgin Islands in a friendly at the Bob Lucas Stadium on Wednesday.

The Terras won the match 6-1 and Molesley, who started himself, played against the youngster for 25 minutes.

Molesley said: “He was really good, again if he was not playing for British Virgin Islands we would have been eager to get him on the pitch for us.

“He is a young lad with a bright future, he looked good, he moved well.”

Rowe proved a real threat in the second half and was unfortunate not to score for the BVI.

Molesley, whose side host Banbury today (3pm), said: “He has done well, there was a lot of good youthful performances out there and Weymouth’s future is looking quite bright.

“I think the first-team lads set a real good tone, I thought their attitude was spot on and they really set the tone for the game and the young lads came on and duly followed.”

Molesley praised Jordan Ngalo, who played 90 minutes for the Terras: “I thought for Jordan Ngalo to come and do 90 minutes for us shows what a powerful, great asset he is and again a young lad, we have done well. He is another exciting talent that we have got on our books.”
