Weymouth going in the right direction says Seabright

Jordan Seabright spoke to theterras.com during what has already been a busy pre-season for the ex-Torquay keeper.

Josh Barton: You have been in and around the club for a while now. What made your mind up about committing to the Terras for the coming season?

Jordan Seabright: I think it was a combination of different things, firstly the direction in which the club is going with the management team and the group of players it has, and this time around my work (Poole Audi) have allowed me the opportunity to do both, whereas before football had to take a back seat because I was working on Saturday.

JB: Robbie Yates has joined the club as goalkeeping coach from Poole Town. Having worked with him before, are you looking forward to reigniting that relationship at Weymouth?

JS: Yes definitely, Robbie has coached me since I was 10 and we have a good relationship, he definitely played a part in me signing, he’s won this league with Poole, so definitely can bring a lot, not just to goalkeeping department, but experience all round.

JB: Who was your footballing idol growing up?

JS: I used to watch Bournemouth a lot, so at the time, Neil Moss was playing so I looked up to him quite a bit, and it was good to be coached by him a few years later.

JB: What do you make of the Pre-Season schedule and the games we have leading up to the season?

JS: The mix on the preseason games is a good one, I think different teams will provide different styles of play, which will hopefully set us in good stead for the coming season.

JB: Who is your tip to win the upcoming World Cup?

JS: I would say Brazil, look like a strong outfit all round.

JB: Has the hard work and preparation for next season already started for you?

JS: Yes, when I sat down with Mark, we spoke about having to start straight away with preseason work, especially with being out of the game for a period of time, so I’ve been doing sessions in the gym with Robbie, and goalkeeper training.
