WEYMOUTH manager Mark Molesley admits that the Terras’ trip to Tiverton Town will ‘be one of the tougher trips’ as they face a side duelling with them at the top of the Evo-Stik Southern Premier South.

Tiverton Town sit in fourth place, three points behind the Terras but with a game in hand on Weymouth who sit at the top of the table with a superior goal difference to the Tivvy.

Molesley said: “It is definitely going to be one of the tougher trips.

“They are up there up at the top with us, we know about them, they are a big, strong side. We are going to go there and we are going to have to be right at it and I am sure we will be.”

Weymouth have won four of their last five encounters with the Tivvy, but suffered a 2-1 loss in this fixture last season.

When asked about how last season’s encounters will factor into the match, Molesley said: “I think we treat each match in isolation, to be honest.

“We will assess ourselves, and see how to put the best foot forward and we will be having a good chat about how to approach that game and what to do to try and secure the win.”

Callum Buckley could return for Weymouth after recovering from an injury to train with the Terras on Thursday and prior to the 1-1 draw with Swindon Supermarine on Saturday.

Molesley said: “Buckers has trained now so he has got the all clear so we will decide on Buckers on what his involvement will be in the game and we will just assess how everyone settles down after today.”

Weymouth go into their encounter with the Tivvy off the back of a disappointing 1-1 draw at Swindon Supermarine on Saturday.

The Marine scored early on through Conor McDonagh but an opportunistic Calvin Brooks jumped in to equalise after 39 minutes.

Reflecting on that match, Molesley said: “They are a little bit frustrated and a little bit disappointed because we want to win every game.

“So we are obviously disappointed we have not won, we feel that we could have played better at times but that is the challenge to react quickly and try to make up for it on Tuesday.”
