WEYMOUTH first team coach Bradley Asagba says it is all about momentum ahead of the Terras hosting Walton Casuals tomorrow in the Evo-Stik Southern Premier South (3pm).

The Terras come into the match off the back of a morale-boosting 2-1 win over Tiverton Town on Tuesday night, with Brandon Goodship grabbing a late winner.

Asagba said: “We are feeling good.

“Not only just with the result but it was a really pleasing performance on Tuesday so it is just about momentum for us.

“It is about sticking with what we do, which is obviously work hard in training, get our focus right, control things that we can control and, like I said, try and carry that momentum through.”

Weymouth, at the time of writing, are still waiting to hear back after they appealed Harry Baker’s red card, picked up in the 1-1 draw at Swindon Supermarine. Should the appeal be unsuccessful, his ban kick-in tomorrow.

Tuesday also saw the return of Callum Buckley from the bench, as he replaced Ashley Wells after 81 minutes.

Asagba said: “Obviously it was really good from a personnel point of view for Callum to come on and finish the game. He does not seem to have suffered any adverse effects from that.”

Weymouth Director of Football Paul Maitland added: “Every game is different.

“Saturday will come with its own set of challenges.

“As we have seen so far at home, teams make it very difficult when they come to Weymouth and I would not expect it to be any different.”

Maitland praised Walton for their good recent results.

He said: “They have had some good results, they beat Staines at home on Tuesday and drew at Dorchester so they are going to cause some problems.

“We will be looking to take our own good form into the game and impose ourselves on them and make them worry about us.

“Every team has got a different threat, it is about recognising that and coming up with plans to deal with those threats and making sure you limit the opportunities that they have.”
