Saturday 27th & Sunday 28th October

It’s was another fantastic weekend for the Youth Section. With our Under 10 girls kicking off the weekend with an excellent display of passing football against a strong Bridport team. This was swiftly followed by a hard fought victory for our Weymouth & Harlequin Under 12 girls against a spirited Redlands team. Onto Sunday morning and we had more great performances from our Under 8 and 9 teams with Under 9 manager Craig stating his ‘mind was blown’ at the level of play from his team. Our Under 10 team played in a County Cup match winning 4-2 versus Upton Lightenings which led to Manager Jon describing it as ‘his proudest moment in his four years of coaching  football’. They were joined in the competition spirit by our Under 11 team who were playing against Blandford Wasps Blue in the League Cup, with only 9 players available, taking away a 3-2 victory, they were watched by their injured goal keeper who came along to support them.

Our Under 12 team played Lytchett Matravers and came away with a fantastic 10-0 win, while our Under 14’s played away to Bridport bringing home a 5-3 victory. With the Under 16 match cancelled by the opposition the weekend good news came to an end with our last but by no means least enjoyable result with the Under 15 winning 3-1 at home to Weymouth Cougars.
