The club was represented at the Chickerell Primary Academy “bedtime story” evening as Assistant Manager, Tom Prodomo and Director, Josh Barton went along for this annual event. Tom read to the pupils in classes ranging from reception age, up to Year 6.

We were asked to go along to the evening a while ago by one of the staff at the school and long time Terras fan, Rob Pask. As a club we have had our partnership with the school rapidly develop, with the previous visit of the manager and director of football.

Assistant Headteacher at Chickerell Primary Academy, Catherine Anders had this to say on the evening: “Reading underpins every part of learning. As a school, we want our children to love reading and to be able to become lost in stories. Having reading role models, such as representatives of Weymouth Football Club and especially males, we hope to continue building on our children’s progress in reading, and in particular, to encourage our boys to keep reading.”

Terras Assistant Manager, Prodomo enjoyed reading to the pupils: “I really enjoyed the evening and it was fantastic to read to the pupils at the school. They were very engaged and interested and it was great to meet them and their teachers. We really look forward to continuing our relationship with the school.”

We would like to thank Chickerell Primary Academy for making us feel welcome on the evening.
