MARK Molesley and Tom Prodomo were delighted with goalkeeper Lloyd Thomas’ reaction after he stepped in during Jordan Seabright’s recent head injury, as the latter returned in the 2-0 win at St Albans City.

Thomas came in for Seabright during the 2-1 win over Salisbury, and reacted well, with his first action of that match being to pick the ball out of his own net.

Tom Prodomo said: “Seabright did brilliantly but Lloyd (Thomas) had some good games while he was in there.”

Molesley responded: “I am pleased with Lloyd’s reaction to coming in for two big games

“I think it shows how important the squad is, all of them. We have had to call on every single player over the two games and everyone has responded really well.

“It was great reaction from Jordan after he suffered a nasty collision against Salisbury and he came back and it looked like he had not been away.”

Thomas subsequently played the whole match in the 1-1 draw against St Albans in the FA Trophy third qualifying round, before being replaced by Seabright for the replay.

The win on Tuesday saw the Terras progress through with Ben Thomson and Ryan Glover netting for Weymouth.

Molesley praised Glover for ‘running his socks off’ for the Terras in a match which saw them having to fend off a strong Saints’ attack.

Molesley said: “He deserved that.

“He ran his socks off, Ryan always does that for you.

“He gave us a good counter-attacking outlet because we defended really well but then we were a threat going forward as well.

“He covered a lot of ground, as did all of the players, it was a big pitch.

“We covered every blade of grass and Ryan really typified that with his performance and his goal.”

Glover’s performance was subsequently somewhat soured with the news that the Bournemouth-loanee is set to end his season early due to surgery next week.

Announcing the news on Twitter, Glover said: “2-0 win in the Fa Trophy with the Terras. Buzzing with the goal and MOTM as well, two MOTM in two games, sadly my season has come to an early end with an upcoming ACL and patella surgery a week today. I’ll come back stronger.”

Molesley was very happy with his side’s performance against St Albans however, which saw the Terras oust their National League South opposition from the FA Trophy.

As a result of their efforts they have been rewarded with hosting Evo-Stik Southern Premier Central side Needham Market.

Molesley said: “All-round I thought it was a real good team performance, I think that was the bit that was most pleasing, it was not our vintage best at times but it was a real together, resolute performance.

“Again the boys showed what great character they had.”

Weymouth have no game this weekend, with the Terras next in action when they host Dorchester Town in the Dorset Senior Cup first round on Tuesday (7.45pm).

Meanwhile, the winner of the claret and blue lottery November draw is Nick Palmer from Cardiff. In second is Ken Winship from Weymouth and third Richard Shaw from Portland.

In addition, the draw for the Christmas Bonus has taken place with Bob Fox from Dorchester taking first prize ahead of Fran Torode from Guernsey, Rob Luxton from Weymouth and Kevin Burns from Birmingham in fourth.
