MARK Molesley is looking for his side to get back to winning ways after a tough Christmas period for the Terras, starting with the visit Tiverton Town to the Bob Lucas Stadium in the Evo-Stik Southern Premier South tomorrow (3pm).

Weymouth are emerging from a run of form that has seen them claim six points from four matches over Christmas, with three draws and one win.

When asked if the claret and blues were looking to get back onto a winning run, Molesley replied: “Yes definitely, it is always a tough period, Christmas.

“We are coming through that now so we just need to get back to winning ways as quick as we can, so we need to show a quick reaction and get back to doing what we are doing best and then we are in the FA Trophy after.”

As a result of their run of form the top of the table has become quite tight, where at one point it looked as if Taunton and Weymouth could break away and put distance between them and the rest of the league.

Weymouth are now level on points with Salisbury, having played a game more, and six points behind Taunton Town having played two games less.

Yet they can be overtaken by fifth place Metropolitan Police, who have played a game less and sit two points behind the Terras.

Molesley referenced the table, as he said: “Plenty of football still to come.

“Plenty to play for after Taunton’s loss (on Tuesday, to Merthyr Town). It is getting tight so we will just see what happens.”

Weymouth have already faced Tivvy once so far this season, having claimed a 2-1 win back in October thanks to goals from Jake McCarthy and Brandon Goodship.

Following the win, the Terras went on a run of four wins from five in the league, with the only blemish a 2-1 loss at Kings Langley.

Tivvy will be smarting from a 3-2 home defeat to Dorchester, with captain Jamie Price missing a late penalty that could have rescued a point.

Molesley said: “Tiverton at this level are a tough side, it was a great three points up at theirs, and I think that was almost a catalyst for us, winning up there.

“It sort of kick-started us into a good bit of form and we are going to try and use this game at home as the same to kick-start us.

“We haven’t quite had the points that probably we deserve and probably we haven’t quite had the points that we are looking for at the moment so we need to quickly react and get ourselves going.”

The Terras are injury free, barring the long-term absentees of Josh McQuoid and Warren Bentley.

Molesley said: “I think that’s the only good thing (from the 2-2 draw against Poole Town), we had a couple of knocks with the substitutions that we made with people coming off but we are hoping they are just knocks and they should be alright for (Tiverton).”

Stephane Zubar will miss the match, with it being the final match of a three-game suspension, picked up against Harrow Borough just before Christmas.

Molesley said: “Zubes will be missing and he will be looking to get back involved for the FA Trophy.”

The Tiverton match is set to be Yemi Odubade’s last game for the Terras, but the club have announced that they have the opportunity to sign him on loan for the rest of the season.

The club have since asked if fans can donate via playing the Wessex Fantasy Football League so that the club can afford to sign Odubade within their budget.

The concept has previously seen success in helping the Terras fund the acquisitions of Odubade’s fellow strikers Brandon Goodship and Bentley.
