LLOYD Thomas has departed Weymouth permanently after joining the club over the summer, the gloveman has announced on Twitter.

Thomas’ exit comes after Weymouth signed both Chris Lewington and Tom McHale in a six-day spell during January, with the Terras already having England Schools goalkeeper Jack Martin on their books.

Thomas originally joined from Horndean and played back-up to Jordan Seabright before he left over the Christmas period.

Thomas then stepped up and was number one until Lewington joined prior to the 2-2 draw at home to Kings Langley, while McHale has started the last two games in goal for the Terras.

Martin is now the only goalkeeper on Weymouth’s books to remain at the club since the summer.
