MARK Molesley says the league has proved his side are a scalp for teams, as Weymouth prepare to face relegation-threatened Frome Town in the Evo-Stik Southern Premier South tomorrow (3pm).

Frome are mired in the relegation zone, seven points behind Dorchester Town who sit just outside, having avoided defeat just 12 times in the league this season.

Molesley, referring to Frome, said: “Another tough game, another team fighting for their lives, they are not going to give up, they are going to fight for everything they are going to make it very difficult.

“This league has proved we are a scalp for teams, everyone looks forward to pitting their wits against us. We have got to rise to the challenge.”

The two sides are well-linked, with Harry Baker having been on loan at the Robins earlier this season, while Ben Thomson used to play for Frome.

Frome has not been a happy hunting ground in recent times for the Terras, with their away record reading as two wins, two draws and three losses.

However, Weymouth are a side that are very much back in form, both against Frome and otherwise.

They have won three out of their last four matches against the Robins, and are currently on a three-match winning streak.

When asked if he was relieved by Weymouth’s current run of form, Molesley replied: “Yeah definitely, it was important that we try and get a little bit of a run and we need to find some consistency.

“Look, the performances have always been good, we just need to make sure that we continue trying to be better in each game.

“That is no different to Frome on Saturday, we need to be better than we were (against Hendon) and look to constantly keep improving.”
