Weymouth take the short trip to East Dorset to face a Wimborne side who are looking for points to guarantee survival in the Southern League Premier South. With just 9 games left the Terras are looking to extend their slender lead over Taunton Town. The reverse fixture saw Weymouth win 1-0 with an 83rd minute strike from Harry Baker.

Top of the table Weymouth come into this game on their best form of the season, winning the previous 5, scoring 12 and conceding just 4. It is the first time since April 2018 that Weymouth have won 5 games in a row. Furthermore the clean sheet against Hendon made it back to back clean sheets since the August bank holiday weekend where Weymouth recorded back to back 5-0 victories against Chesham and Dorchester.

The victory against Hendon for the Terras, made it the sixth team this season that they have done the double over and they can make it 7 with victory over the magpies on Saturday.

Meanwhile for the East Dorset outfit they have only lost at home 4 times in the league this season to; Salisbury, Beaconsfield, Poole and Dorchester. The 1-4 home defeat to Salisbury in their previous home fixture was the first home loss since 26th September when they were defeated 0-1 by Beaconsfield. Wimborne’s home record stands at; Played 17, Won 10, Drawn 3 and lost 4. With 39 goals scored and 28 conceded.

This fixture also sees the top 2 goal scorers in the league pit their wits against each other. Tobias Holmes and Brandon Goodship have both scored 29 goals this season and are looking to win the golden boot. For England C striker Goodship, it would mean 2 golden boots in a row after a more than impressive 38 goals last season.
