MARK Molesley says Weymouth have got to do a lot more to get the title sealed as they prepare to travel to Beaconsfield Town in the Evo-Stik Southern Premier South tomorrow (3pm).

Beaconsfield represents the first opportunity that Weymouth can mathematically seal the title should they win, but it depends on results elsewhere.

For the Terras to be crowned champions Taunton Town must not win at home to Kings Langley and the Met Police must lose at Swindon Supermarine.

Molesley said: “I think the boys are in a good place at the moment, I think they are in a confident mood and so they should be, but like I said, our feet are firmly on the floor, we are looking to try and improve every week.

“We have got to do a lot more to get this title sealed, so it is feet to the floor making sure we can do everything we can to win the game.”

Referring to the title chase, Molesley added: “We have not won anything yet, we have still got to win two games to make it mathematical and the quicker we do that the better.”

The reverse fixture, back in August, was the first match Weymouth failed to take all three points in this season, when a late Josh Wakefield goal rescued a point at the Bob Lucas Stadium in a 1-1 draw.

Beaconsfield sit second in the form table with four wins and one loss, going back over the last five games, behind only Weymouth who have four wins and one draw in the same time.

Molesley praised the Rams, and says his side learned some lessons from the draw.

He said: “I think we definitely learned some lessons from them last time.

“They showed that they are a good side, they have got some good players. Most of them are still there, I think they started the season really well, had a little bit of a fall out of form mid-season but they are right back on it now and sit quite high up the form table.

“It is going to be a difficult game. We definitely will not be taking them lightly, we know what threats they have got, they are a good side.”

Since Weymouth last conceded, against Swindon Supermarine, they have scored 12 without conceding again.

That run of form has seen them swat aside Hartley Wintney 3-0, and 4-0 victories against the Met Police and Staines Town.

Callum Buckley, Tiago Sa and Josh McQuoid are still working their way back from injury, but Molesley hopes Stephane Zubar will come back in for selection after suffering a knock against the Met Police.

Warren Bentley will not play again this season for the Terras, but he has returned to work full-time now.
