Brandon Goodship rounded off a phenomenal season with the Terras by collecting the Brandon Hire Step 3/4 Player of the Year award at the 2018/19 National Game Awards this week.

The Weymouth striker added to a season which already included a Southern League Champions medal, the Evo-Stik Southern League South Golden Boot and the Weymouth FC Players’ Player of the Season; as well as earning his first England C cap in March.

The National Game Awards in association with Buildbase were set up by the Non-League Paper to recognise the “best and the biggest” of Non-League football from step 1 to 4.

The NGA Step 3/4 Player of the Year award was voted for by readers on the Non-League Paper and includes players from all divisions at step 3 and 4, the Evo-Stik Northern League, the Southern League and the Isthmian League.

Goodship collected the award at Chelsea FC’s Stamford Bridge on Tuesday, where other awards presented included Team of the Year going to Leyton Orient and Fabien Robert picking up the Non-League Goal of the Season.

After collecting the award Goodship tweeted, “Buzzing to have won this award! Capped off a very good season for myself and also @theterras”.
